I talked to Aika on the phone today. Really happy to hear her voice...saying my name, it sounds so sweet.

We mostly talked about normal crap, but then she got all quiet and stuff, and I heard her cat purring, but that was pretty much it. When I asked what was up, I didn't hear a reply, and thought maybe she was reading while I was on the phone with her and was distracted (she's weird in that she can read, watch TV, AND hold a convo).

So then I hear the only thing that really bothers me. A shaky breath. Yeah, now I'm not so happy. A shaky breath means she's trying not to cry. I never really see her cry, but I know she wants to. A know a few girls like that, and a guy.

She had to hang up to meet up with her friend, and I was left in kind of a funk until Catie came in and we talked. My sis is awesome that way.

I hate when my friends are miserable. I love them all very very much.

Aika, and all my other friends...remember this. It's okay to cry.

Remember when I said Rae went to live in Cy's old how? That wasn't good enough for Robin. He wanted Rae out of the city completely.

He totally attacked the place, and really viciously attacked Rae. She got away from him with little damage, but teleported directly to my room. She was crying, so she didn't have to say anything...I was able to put two and two together.

I went down to Robin and quit the team. Cyborg wanted to quit too, but he's staying a Titan because Robin and Starfire can't protect the city on their own.

I took Raven down to where I used to live. Robin doesn't know about it. Y'know the forest right outside of Jump City? The little house on the edge of it is where Rae and I are now.

We'll be here awhile.

It's been about two years since Trigon's defeat and my birthday is on Thursday. Raven shouldn't be suffering like this. Not now.

Not anymore.

Robin booted Raven off of the team...it was horrible. A distress call triggered it.

We went to fight Ternion...Slade had returned and combined Plasmus, Cinderblock, and Overload again. We fought him...it...really hard, but in the end, he launched out an attack at Raven, Cyborg, and me that almost killed us. Raven, very weak from using so much of her energy, was able to protect us. Starfire got hit with the aftershock...got a nasty slash across her ribs. Nothing deadly, just a pretty bloody cut. Robin got very mad at Rae for not protecting Starfire, but the rest of us knew that if Raven had tried to save Starfire instead, Raven, Cyborg, and I would be dead. If Raven had tried to save all of us, the cost of energy would’ve killed her.

A few hours later, in an attempt to get some of her energy back, Raven had started meditating to her newly learned incantation.

Robin got reeeeeeeally mad about that. I don’t know if he was jealous or afraid of her power, or both, but that’s when he called Starfire, Cyborg, and me over. I remember he tore Raven’s mirror out of her hands. She winced horribly. It probably hurt her like hell, having what her mind was linked to torn away from her.

Right there, he called a vote. Did Raven stay on the team, or did she have to leave?

Robin voted for her dismissal. His vote, as the leader, counted for two people. Cyborg and I voted for Raven to stay immediately, which brought it into a 2-2 tie. Raven couldn’t vote, so it was all up to Starfire...who voted Raven off for fear of Robin dumping her.

Where the hell did Robin expect Rae to go? We’d found her on the street, and she’d been recruited onto our team from the darkness of an alley. Raven and Cyborg both pleaded with him, while Robin and I screamed at each other. Robin called Rae a lot of mean things, including “witch” and “demon whore.” Raven came pretty close to tears.

Robin destroyed her room, so Raven only left with her mirror...went to live in the house Cyborg lived in before he became a Titan. That's where she is now.

Damn it...
